Collector Information

Everything you need to collect with confidence.

From production to your wall — a complete guide to purchasing and caring for a Skyye Kimmons fine art print.

The Process

How every print is made.

Each print is produced individually using a Giclée process — the industry standard for fine art reproduction. Files are printed at the highest available resolution using 12-color archival pigment inks on 100% cotton rag paper.

This is not mass production. Every print is reviewed before it leaves the studio. Unacceptable prints are discarded, not sold.

Paper Options

Two finishes. One standard.

All prints are produced on museum grade 100% cotton rag paper. Two surfaces are available — the choice depends on the image and your display environment.

  • Matte (Fine Art Cotton Rag) Recommended for most images. Deep blacks, no glare, painterly surface texture. Best for portraiture and detailed work.
  • Lustre (Cotton Rag Pearl) Subtle sheen that increases perceived contrast. Excellent for color work and images with strong highlights. Slight resistance to fingerprints.

Not sure which to choose? Matte is the default and works beautifully with every image in the collection. Specify at checkout or note in your inquiry.

Framing

Optional. Important. Handled.

Framing is available as an add-on. All framing uses UV-protective museum glass and acid-free archival materials. The frame does not touch the print — a proper air gap is maintained throughout.

  • Classic Black (Aluminum) Thin profile, gallery standard. Works with any interior.
  • Natural Wood Light oak finish. Warm contrast against light walls.
  • Walnut Darker wood. Rich and collected. Pairs well with Signature works.
  • Float Mount Print floats within the frame with a visible gap. Contemporary gallery aesthetic.

Custom framing requests can be noted in your inquiry. Framing adds 5–7 business days to production.

Certificate of Authenticity

Every print is a documented original.

Certificate of Authenticity
The Aesthetic
This certifies that the accompanying fine art print is an original work produced by Skyye Kimmons under The Aesthetic. Edition number, image title, medium, dimensions, and date of production are documented below.
ARTIST SIGNATURE
EDITION NUMBER

The certificate travels with the print and establishes provenance for insurance, resale, and exhibition purposes. It is signed by the artist and numbered to match the print verso.

Replacement certificates can be requested for insured loss. Contact the studio with proof of purchase.

Limited Editions

What limited edition means here.

Signature Collection works are strictly limited editions. Once the edition is sold out, the image will not be reprinted at that size. Standard collection works are currently offered as open editions.

  • Signature Collection Limited edition. Each size is retired when sold out. Edition size varies per work and is documented on the certificate.
  • Standard Collections Open edition. No print limit. Consistent archival quality regardless of when produced.
  • Artist Proofs A small number of artist proofs may exist outside the edition. Marked "A/P" and priced accordingly. Contact the studio to inquire.

Edition information is always disclosed before purchase and documented on the certificate of authenticity.

Care Instructions

How to protect your investment.

  • Frame under glass UV-protective museum glass extends print life significantly. Standard glass is acceptable but not recommended.
  • Avoid direct sunlight Even archival prints will fade with prolonged UV exposure. Indirect or artificial light is ideal.
  • Handle by the edges Fingerprints and skin oils can affect the surface. White cotton gloves are recommended when handling unframed prints.
  • Control humidity Avoid areas with high or fluctuating humidity (bathrooms, unfinished spaces). Optimal: 30–50% RH, stable temperature.
  • Storage If storing unframed, keep flat in the original packaging, acid-free folder, or portfolio box. Never roll.
  • Cleaning Clean glass — not the print surface — with a lint-free cloth. Never apply any liquid to the print itself.
