Three generations.
One camera bag.

My grandfather made portraits. My father shot the Chicago blues and jazz scene, and some fashion when the mood took him. I was never the one with the camera.

That changed on August 19, 2021, the day my father died at home. I found his camera bag while looking for something for my stepmother, and I decided no one else was going to touch it. I took the bag, and I took his nickname, so the name would keep working. I still shoot with both.

“You can’t be what you can’t see.”

What started as a promise became a practice. I work across fashion, beauty, portraiture, editorial, fine art, and motion, with a cinematic approach to image making.

Editorials in GMARO, MALVIE, Éclair, and Moevir. Runway at New York, London, and Chicago Fashion Week.

Independent spec concepts include work inspired by e.l.f., Milani, Harry’s, and Michael Kors. These projects were self-directed and were not commissioned by the brands.

Personal work

For The Chicago Kid is a memorial fine art project honoring Nick Bradley. The Forty Over 40 Foundation puts women over forty in front of a lens that takes them seriously. Both come from the same place the camera bag did.
